Clifton Audiology

The main focus was to increase
the number of people walking into the clinic

Who Are Clifton Audiology?

A private audiology specialising in the latest hearing aids and tinitus therapy, while also offering the popular ear wax removal service. Nestled on the outskirts of Clifton, their clinic is efficient and staff are regularly praised in Google reviews.

458%

The increase in new website visitors who had never heard of the business before.

60%

The percentage of extra patients walking through the door since hiring me.

70,000

According to YouTube, this is the number of local people that have watched their videos.

The Problem

Clifton Audiology were losing customers to Boots and Specsavers because potential patients thought these brands offered the same experience — a private clinic will always provide a more professional and personal service. Not only that, but no one had been involved in the promotional side of the business since their freelancer left twelve months prior to my involvement.

Therefore, their social media presence was non-existent, there was no blog and their website had been left to fester with out-of-date content. No one could see them online because the website wasn't optimised for Google, allowing the high street brands and smaller competitors to dominate.

The Solution

The website was hosted with Squarespace, which I found happens to have a serious security flaw. When I asked Squarespace support about this, they weren't in any hurry to fix it &emdash; they didn't give me any hope that it would ever be fixed, actually. So, I suggested moving the website to WordPress which I knew well and wouldn't have any gaping holes in security with the right setup.

Once the website was secure, it was time to increase the number of visitors which would turn into those all important appointments. The website was optimised for Google and now appears before competitors (even Boots & Specsavers) for a large number of searches, resulting in a huge 458% increase in new visitors who have never been before.

A blog was added to keep patients informed of the latest advice and show up on Google for even more searches, and the Google Business Profile was optimised to take advantage of those searching for the business name. While the budget didn't stretch to a full social media strategy, blog posts are still converted to video and currently generating 70,000+ local views.
